On the scrounge - Great North Run 2012
Well folks, I managed it without embarrasing myself (much)
On Sunday I completed the Great North Run with a few workmates in aid of the TOMA fund, a childrens cancer charity based in the north east providing care for kids affected by childhood cancer and support for their families.
If anybody would like to donate then it would be very much appreciated, our company has agreed to double whatever we raise so we're trying extra hard!

Cheers.

Didn't do too badly, poor preparation and barely any training meant expectations were low. Goal was to finish but I managed a respectable 2:35!
How did you get on?

Aye, pleased but disappointed at the same time. If I had put the effort in and actually trained properly I could have done a 1:45-2:00 time.

Re: On the scrounge - Great North Run 2012
yeah, can understand that, I should have done more than what I did and had problems on the course itself so did 2hrs 16 in the end...wanted under 2 hours but hey ho, never mind, is the amount of money you raise that really counts I think...thats what i keep telling myself anyway LOL you going to enter it again next year ?
