torn shoulder muscle
Had the op last tuesday, and cannot believe how quick I seem to be recovering. I thought that I would be trussed up like an old turkey (ok Rosco before you get it in I AM AN OLD TURKEY) but no just bandaged up with a shoulder sling. By Thursday I discarded the sling and am getting more and more movement in the shoulder every day. Drove the car for the first time yesterday. Was worried that I might not be fit enough to make S&T, but am quite sure I'll be ok. The way its going might even be able to make ToL, watch this space.

Re: torn shoulder muscle
Glad to hear you're on the mend Terry.
You'll need to calm down the bedroom acrobatics so you don't get injured so much.
I was watching the ladies gymnastics to try and avoid pulling a muscle.
Didn't quite go to plan though.

Don't over do it tho Terry! There's lots of structures in there that take time to heal.

Re: torn shoulder muscle
Hi Terry,
Glad to hear you're sounding so positive after the op. I hope things continue to improve for you.
Rosco is only jealous about the possible competition he'll face once you're back fighting fit!
I'm sending you a PM about ToL. If you can make it, or part of it, it would be great to see you.
Cheers,
Chris

Re: torn shoulder muscle
Mmm, Just back from the physio, and a massive bollocking, Where's your sling says she, slung say I. Youve to wear it for four weeks. I show her the leaflet I've been given by the hospital that says discard it when you'r comfortable. You should'nt have been given that, so when you get home put the sling back on. Stable doors and bolting horses come to mind.

Re: torn shoulder muscle
Sounds familiar Tes, bollocking for not wearing it and was then told it wouldn't have made any difference - you've gotta love consistency
Glad to hear it is all going well

Re: torn shoulder muscle
Exactly 4 weeks to the day since the op, just had the bike out for the first time, only did a few miles but everything seems OK, looking to go up to Windermere on Sunday, subject to the weather. Might also do a recce of the route I have planned for S&T next week, really looking forward to that now. Mark the landlord says he might put some entertainment on for us. So, those of you who are dithering as to whether you are coming or not GET BOOKED IN! There's still room in the bunkhouse.
