the cat is sold!!
I'm pleased to say that I have now sold my thundercat.
it was only on eBay 2 days! of course sold it out side of eBay so I only have to pay £16!
a young lad came with his parents from Norfolk .paid a deposit and will be picking it up in 2 weeks time.
he is getting a good bike .told that the forks seals needs replacing other than that the bike runs spot on.tax & mot for 1 year.
he took it for a test ride and came back with a big smile on his face
must say I'm pleased for the lad.
there are some fibbers out there that are quite happy to take ya eye out.
I've spent some money on the bike.
the 1st thing I got done is a full service and a good check over inc new anti freeze.
I didn't want to spend money on it only it needs more work on the engine.
when I got the MOT it came back on the screen no record of crash etc.
but it doesn't explain why it had a full respray, I checked all the panels and no sign of damage.
at least its going to a good home.
his dad race r6 bikes so knows a bit about bikes.so he knows that the thundercat are good bikes.
so I guess with me not having cat any more I'll just wonder off and thanks to those who have been kind enough to put up with me and help in getting my cat in shape.
so you lot take care and maybe one day we'll meet up at devils bridge.
I'll certainly stick me nose in if I see a group of cats together. best regards to all and thanks. john

Re: the cat is sold!!
Well done you for getting a quick sale. Hope you have or will pass on our existance to the young lad who's bought it from you.
What you got your eye on next ?
No need for you to be a stranger here if you enjoy the place, quite a few have 'moved' onto different bikes and stuck around because of the craic and good members here abouts. But if you choose to move on, . . . farewell, ride safe and thank you for your support and input while you were here
Cheers

Glad you got a quick sale John.
No need to be a stranger here as Tel said.
Be nice if you can pass the new owner the details of this site and tell him he is more than welcome.
Good luck with the new bike purchase. What's on the shopping list?
Cheers

Re: the cat is sold!!
I certainly will tell him about this forum.
still got my ER6F , I'll hang on to it till next year.
new bike will either be the W650 or the W800.
I did a 120 odd miles on the cat and kills my shoulder and neck.
I knew then that the bike wasn't for me.
yes I'm pleased it sold rather quick , I'm not usually that lucky.
I'll hang on here for awhile and see how things goes from there.
as for my ER I used to suffer numb bum syndrome terribly till I got my seat re-upholstered again by Tony Archer.
what a transformation.
me and my good lady went for a ride last Sunday and it was meant to be a short run.
we ended up doing a 173 miles !! and suffered only a minor numb bum.
and went for another run on Wednesday and did a 146 mile run.
you you can imagine how relieved I was doing them kind of miles.
the other local guy who did my seat was more concerned the way the seat looked. Tony Archer did as exactly what I wanted and more cost me only £70 ,the guy charged me £90 for a useless seat!!
I wont used him again.
on a lighter note do you guys ever come up north ..say Kirby lonsdale.
if and when you do be sure to let me know as it would be nice to meet up and get to know some. john
