hi guys, i have come to the centre of all knowledge for some advice.
Im looking to buy a new car wooooo well ok second hand owwww
now if a car is priced at 18k how much do you reckon i could knock them down by?
the car i want is just under 18k but only have 15k to work with, prob pusing it a bit, but i have not been able to find a good answer on the mark up on used cars from dealers.
roll on when i can get back on a bike again. especially this weather. so jealous of you lot

Re: car dealers
As DBD states I was a new and used car dealer for nigh on 30 years, still dabble a little, (its in the blood) I would estimate the dealer in question will have somewhere in the region of between £1500 to £2300 profit to play with, depending on whether he bought the car as a spec, or took it in part ex. How much you can expect as a discount depends whether he thinks the car is a quick mover or not. Of the general used car buying public the percentage with that kind of dough is very low, however, if its low mileage, it would be attractive to a punter who was considering buying new. Anyway good luck.
