Dropped my thundercat
Just thought i would share my little incident i had on the weekend with my cat.
I pulled up to a little cafe on the side of the road in malvern and the spot we pulled up on had a slight gradiant so in order to get out after harleys turned up and blocked me in i had to push it back up the slight gradiant and as i step over the bike i slipped on the gravel and dropped my f**king bike. I have never felt that sick in ages, Smacked my shoulder on the floor so bruised all that up but all i was concerned about was my bike, so when i got up after falling in front of about 40 bikers i was expecting to see all the side of my bike scratched and cracked but low and behold the wasnt a mark on her as my crash bobbins done the job. Worth their waiting gold having them on the side of the bike.
So all in all i come away from my first little incident with a bruised shoulder and a scratched mirror so i can live with that.

Re: Dropped my thundercat
OMG - Just seen your avatar pic and then read your post.
Very nice bike you've got there. Glad it hasn't lost much.
I agree - crash bungs are well worth it. What ones you got - R&G ?

Re: Dropped my thundercat
Glad there wasnt too much damage. Never fails to amaze me when you park the bike up how many other bikers show no courtesy or thought when parking theirs. Its amazing how easily the bike can be deadlifted with the embarrassment surging through your body

Re: Dropped my thundercat
It was only until i did a couple of miles that i felt embarrased i mean at the time i didnt give a shit as long as the bike was ok i was happy.
Not sure of the make of them mate but whatever make they are they did their job and thank god thats all i can say
Thanks for the comment about the bike i had to put the double bubble back on which i prefer the look of the original screen but i was getting blown all over the place especially with a helmet cam on as well

Re: Dropped my thundercat
Glad you and the bike okay, the embarrassment fades quickly I trust, echo Rosco's comment that bike looks very sweet, a few more pictures would be nice.
Good invention those crash bungs, before I started riding and got into bikes I often saw them And wondered what they were, a f@cking god send that's what they are

Re: Dropped my thundercat
Oh dear bad news, hopefully is only just some bruising and you'll be right as rain soon.
Good to hear the crash bungs did their job, I fitted mine after my tumble

Re: Dropped my thundercat
Glad everything is ok and only pride damaged.
R&G bungs are the only addition I've made to my Cat (oh and a blu-tacked watch), fortunately haven't been called into action but with my short-arse legs there's been a few moments.
