Stranded?

Arranged to go out with my mate David, (Sick Boy to those at this years weemac), this morning so set off to get bike from garage. Freewheel down slope out of garage to discover that the side stand wouldn't go down. Now feeling like a prat and looking about and all around me is roughcast walls and no-one to help. Eventually rode to smooth bit of wall and left bike parked like a pedal bike to let me get off and fix it.
Fixed no problem, (a wee bit of rust on the linkage) and had a great run out apart from still looking for 7th gear!
