So just bought a 96 thundercat for a run about.

Typical pisses of rain when you go out.

Anyway seems decent enough but has the 0-3000rpm needle bounce which means TPS sensor?

Where is best to get one without going main dealer way?

Welcome to the forum mate. Yer no far fae me green smile

Shame about the change in weather I agree, we've had a 20 degree dip in weather in a couple of days - crazy!

Sounds like TPS sensor indeed, someone on here may well even have a spare one, not sure. Won't take long for someone to come along and advise. If not then you could consider buying a cheap set of old carbs coz the TPS is usually still attached to them if main dealer prices are too high.

Finally, what colour of cat did you get and we need to see some pics Smile

Welcome midnight.

Hope you enjoy the forum. You're just in time for the Wee Mac left thumb up if you're interested.

Best of luck with the TPS, sorry I can't help.

cheers

Its a blue and silver model, has 6mths tax, yeat@r mot, full givi topbox luggage system and type of scot oiler.

On top of that its had a new chain and 2 new pirelli tyres.

Doesnt feel too quick but im not used to going to a 600.

Sounds good mate. They're quick enough for me at the mo anyway, s'pose depends what your used to though. Pretty good for touring and sounds like you're kitted out for that already, nice. Got a scot oiler on mine too but it's not been used for years so I'm gonna re-commision it once I get my carbs balanced up in a few days hopefully Smile

If you fancy a proper scoot in it then there's a great run this weekend in Dundee. The DBF Easter Egg Hunt. There'll be about 150+ bikes doing it..... weather permitting of course.... 4 inches of snow today! santa
