Used to and the Jetta, think they were called Bora here

'89 Jetta 8v CLi 1.8 (bought new), a VR6 Jetta 2.8 then a 1.9 Tdi Golf (which is technically still mine as my step son never paid me for it when he 'took' it off my hands :( )

Jetta here as well, one nearly got me lamped by an angry driver.

Jumped out of the mates Jetta into a shop, got back in and spotted all manner of garbage on the back seat, so I said "That's some amount of shit you've got in the back there Henry!", looked back around and discovered some angry looking random was the driver.

I'd jumped back into the wrong car. Very Happy

ftr I had a 1.4 Golf CL that I ran into the ground.
By the time it was driven into the forecourt for minimum trade-in, it was jammed in 3rd gear, the clutch was shot and one driveshaft was only held on by two bolts.

Had more mk1 and 2 Golfs than you can shake a stick at. everything from a 1.3 CL to a heavily tuned 187bhp mk2 16v.Also had Corrado 16v/VR6 and G60.

Will own another once i can afford to run a car and a bike!

Had the Scirocco with the 16 valve golf GTI engine, fast as... well in back then terms but had a dodgy water leak where the passenger footwell used to fill up with water and a dodgy gearbox, always crunched in 2nd gear but did the hard miles like everyone else car wise And ended up with a few good uns as well !!

I had a MK1 1.6 GTI (GSN 10W) probably scraped a long time ago, it was a rough old thing, but went very well for an old car,

My son just sold hid 20L GTI, quite a poor car not very excitable, not like the old ones, and a thirsty bu@@er
