Big Mick Master List - 6th July - 9th July

First topic message reminder :

Have a 10 man Dorm and a double room provisionally booked (http://www.portrushholidayhostel.co.uk/) in Portrush.
The rest of the Hostel is already booked up so this is all we could get. There are however a few other places to stay in Portrush so accom shouldn't be a problem.
Google it and you'll see there are plenty.
They have offered me a deal for £35 per person for the whole weekend which is pretty good and includes continental breakfast and all bedding.
Kitchen facilities are available for anyone who fancies bacon buttes etc.
They have Wifi too.
They have space out the back for Bike parking as they told me they cater for the NW200 as well. Seem pretty biker friendly.
Hostel will be 1st come first served so if you wanna slot get you name down quick.
There is only 1 double room available so any couples coming along get in quick!!
I will need a £10 deposit paid by the 15th April to secure your bunk.
So Please cut 'n paste and add your name to the list if you are coming along.

Are we visiting them old giant stepping stones while we are over there? 1 of the 7 wonders of the world ya know and I've wanted to visit the place for many a year.

Decided to take the R1 instead as I'd have luggage problems on the ninja. Will need to get a new tyre fitted though ready for the 1k miles that we might be doing.

Counting down the days now.

err, to get to the stones you need to either walk quite a long way or catch a bus - hope it's a lo-o-o-ng fag stop

Don't worry. It is on the last leg of the sunday route and only about 10miles from the digs so you can spend as long as you like there without getting lost.

Alternatively if I use Tesco Vouchers (worth 3 times their value once you convert them to P&O vouchers) it'll cost £168

Both these prices were for today only she told me so are subject to change.
Unfortunately you need to order and receive your tesco/P&O vouchers through the post before you can phone them to book it with the voucher number.
Since I'm a clubcard junkie I've just converted some to help pay for me & Euan to go.

Have updated the master list showing all but Furballs and Athol as having booked the ferry, sorry if I missed if it has been done.

Did my 3 ferry's today - nothing like getting motivated when seeing one of the crossings I wanted was fully booked yesterday morning but fortunately by this morning there was room! All but one night's hotels have been booked too. Will worry later where I'm going to ride each day.

Soooo two weeks of ROI, NI and IOM here we come

I spoke to Athol and he is going to book his ferry shortly. He is coming over with us but has a pressing engagement (wedding in ireland to attend)for the Saturday so will join back up with us for the run on Sunday.

Yep Steve i booked my ferry ticket on 30/3/12 sorry for not posting...

We will be in southern Ireland for a bit of the run but not too much time in Eire.
Folks just double check your insurance and breakdown recovery etc will cover you for the time in Eire just incase.
Am looking at fuel stops so we can do all our fuelling in the North hopefully as Eire fuel prices are quite a bitty higher.
Remember to turn off roaming data on your mobile phones when we're in Eire also as you will get humped for charges.

As Tim & chris have posted I'll also be in attendance along with Bob (FJR) we will be esconsed at the Harbour Hieghts guest house overlooking the harbour, d'ont know how far from your digs this is. Look forward to seein ya all.

I think BMW John is on a european jaunt, and Christian is under strict supervision as his daughter is shortly to be wed, and has booked with Nick Saunders to do a 2 month southern african soiree.

Actually make sure you turn off roaming well before then as the airwaves don't know where the borders are.

Be great to have some auld heids in attendance to keep the youf's in order.
