local ride out ( portsmouth/southampton)

First topic message reminder :

I really want to go on a ride out next Sunday if the weather is as nice as today , I don't know any good places to ride but I'm hoping you do , none of my mates have bikes so I don't go out much , hoping to go to loomies area or new forest , and meet a few of you ( Mr France and dean j ) so what do you think ? Want to plan something on either 3rd sorry sunday is the 4th (as pointed out by dean ) or 11th march ? And know some good routes ?

I agree! Not to worry Oldcat, I certainly don't feel like I have to prove anything, I will only ride how I know I can ride... I have a family to think about

Forcast heavy rain for Sunday! I think I am going to have to make other plans :(

I think I'm just going to have to go home and get my over suit if its light rain ,if it is pi##ing down I won't be out not sure I can convince the boss to let me out on 11th but will see , ok spoke to the boss she said I can go on 11th if not on 4th so will have to see what its like Sunday morning will text you both to let you know

Light rain in morning leading to heavier in afternoon. Will be windy though by looks of things. Im out regardless, If you guys wanna come cool, if not im still out as ill be without the bike next week while the tank etc is being painted and working away next weekend too. :(

I may still come if the weather doesn't look to bad in the morning, up drop you guys a text in the morning if I do.

all set , got my waterproof suit, hi-vis and bits, so gunna see you at 10am at micks burger van

I have already got waterproof gear, but thanks Steve. Its more down to the fact that I like to have a blast when out on the bike but if its heavy rain then confidence to open the throttle goes out the window!

If I was on a track in the wet I wouldn't mind, but on public roads you don't know whats around the corner!

Well the weather was crap, but me and steve went for it anyway.

Was far too much standing water about though, and just couldnt really do anything without having to second guess ourselves at every turn, so ended up as just a short run up to loomies and back.

Bring on the nicer weather!

but it was still nice to be out , even tho the weather was crap (sun came out when i walked in my front door ) and rally cant wait to do it in the dry , will sort somthing out soon
