Gears?

Looking at a 1996 cat, and the bloke who is selling it is saying its a 5 speed, I asked him if he's sure and he is positive it is a 5 speen not 6? Any ideas?

I'd look carefully at that one, wonder what else the owner doesn't know about his bike.
If it does only have 5 gears, then there is a problem with the gearbox.

That is what I said to him bit he's saying nope the gearbox is fine, I've left it now because he also said he 'doesn't know' how many months mot it has lol

numpty point coming my way for this probably but..........

when I got my first bike last year it took me 5 weeks to work out it had 6 not 5 gears

you should have seen the look on my face when I found that 6th gear on the motorway, it twas like heaven

Many's the time I have gone for 7th...

Haha brilliant! I've left it now he didn't have a clue about anything.

I've tried for 7th many a time, hangs head in shame!!
