Hello!
Hi I just bought a N reg blue and silver Thundercat for my first bike!
I did jump the gun a bit and have bought the bike before getting my license which hopefully is only a few weeks away, as I have passed the theory, cbt and module 1 so far!
So not been able to take it out for a ride yet and can't wait until I can!

Re: Hello!
Hi and welcome, after swearing I wont buy until I've passed I'm going to view a cat this morning and if it's half like the advert I'll be buying it. It's 2002 low mileage and silly money so what can I do!!

Re: Hello!
My friend and I are both going for lessons at the same time and I talked him out of buying a bike until we've passed saying it wasn't a good idea, this will be an awkward conversation to have!!

Re: Hello!
Just been cleaning my new cat and noticed some oil around one of the fork stanchions, cleaned it up and compressed the front end a few times and noticed the oil come back. Does this mean the fork seals need replacing?
Re: Hello!
Great choice of bike for those lovely roads you've got round your way!!

Hi and Welcome to the forum!!!
If oil keeps coming back after you have wiped it, then it looks like the seals will need replacing.

Re: Hello!
So I managed to fail module 2 today did everything perfect other than the first road we pulled onto I thought was a 40 but was a 30 gutted!
Start a new job next week so not going to get any time to retake the test in the next couple of weeks..... hopefully once I'm settled into this new job I can get it booked again and get out on my Cat that's just sitting waiting to be ridden!

Re: Hello!
Hi and welcome, i managed to fail my mod 2 first time 2 weeks ago on something as simple as forgetting to do a last lifesaver going into the test centre at the end...doh!!!
But get straight back on it, I also manged to fail in the 2 weeks off work but managed to fit it in this morning at 8.10 am, so an early start..... but remembered what I did last time and improved on it....
This post didn't start off as an essay....
But learn from it and next time you should be even better....
Good luck, enjoy and be safe

Re: Hello!
Unlucky on the Mod 2, hope you get through it soon.
Got my mod 1 next week and I'm bricking it, my mate failed last week for putting his foot down on a U turn. I can do 49 out of 50 U turns no problem but every once in a blue moon I slip a foot down, I'm becoming obsessed with it now which is no way to prepare for a test.
Also the infamous swerve test is causing mesome anxiety.
Any tips or suggestions welcomed.
