Just for you
Just out of interest, what did you have done? All the fairings? And roughly, if you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost. One of my ideas for my cat after the powder coating is to re do the fairings. Just got to wait for a shipment of boxes then ebaying a load of cat bits from a doner cat to fund the start of the project (and it'd also give me more room too)
I was thinking of this

Re: Ellies Bike....(before paint)
Ooooooooo I soooooo wanted a nice pink one!
But settled for Black and Silver..... theres pics somewhere, If not theres some more on my facebook ( and posted on here as Roger...nearly finished i think!!)
I had all the fairings done, and swing arms, some plastic welding......new fairing bolts, new screen......I think that was it......and it cost £ 800. That included stripping, re-building, decals, etc etc.
I just need the wheels doing, as the chap that owned him prior to me, appeared to have had not much to do on a Sunday so thought he'd paint the wheels by hand........They are supposed to be going in to be done, but don't seem to be able to manage without it for a week, so will wait till the winter. I can't decide between powder coating or black centres and polished rims or black centres fading out to silver.... decisions decisions....
I also got some very nice matching Yamaha luggage!!

Re: Ellies Bike....(before paint)
The first bit worked, very nice.
I'll only want the fairings and the tank doing and a little bit of plastic welding on the front hugger (disklock incident!!)
Just got to raise the cash first.. Hmm, I could start dancing for a living

Re: Ellies Bike....(before paint)
Nice paint. Are you keeping the wheels red? personally i think they would look great in black with a polished rim.

Re: Ellies Bike....(before paint)
Well......as it happens, they are (hopefully) going to be 'done' shortly, i think they're going to be bright red, i wud LOVE polished rims but not sure the wheels are in an adequate state TBH. I'll leave that to the expert..................
