Speedo wobble! Empty Speedo wobble!

Post  Jtpt2007 Mon Jul 18 2011, 12:45

Hi all ive got a problem with the speedo on my cat. At speeds over 50mph the needle is all over the place and gets worse the faster I go. Any ideas? Thought it might be the cable??

Thanks

Cable or the drive hub in the front wheel or even the clutch meter (tabbed washer inside the wheel).

I've been through 2 pick-ups (gear unit assembly) and clutch meters and still on the same cable

Might be worth checking the cable is screwed in tightly first, it does have a tendency to come loose. Catch it before it comes out and you lose the cable.

Lol , this is another example of things being really complicated - I never really understood the tacho ( isn't that what you get in a Mexican ? Smile)(like suspension settings -I mentioned this in a different thread) and now we have to crack codes whilst we are riding pmsl
