The Thundercat Diaries
This may be old news to some but I've just found it and thought some others may not have seen it.

Re: The Thundercat Diaries
MCN's 140 mile tank range is pretty much spot on if you are out for a good belt on country roads and hitting the redline a fair bit, 200 (before the light comes on) for a tour is about right as well.
(Lolled @ the 'reserve' and the realisation that there isn't one. )
Worth noting, if you hump it, you're talking about just over 30mpg.

Re: The Thundercat Diaries
:whoop:
I have got to say that is getting up there with my most memorable sexual encounter! LOL
Statistically I am getting between 140 (that day really knackered me out - hitting limiter, white nuckles....) and 230 (early days, easy on the throttle).
I have no experience of other bikes (except the GS500 I trained on - doen't compare) but the Cat seems so diverse, very forgiving and the fact people seem to still rate the Cat alongside modern bikes is a testament their abilities. You may be able to say they were ahead of their time - LOL
I think the Cat will be with me for some years to come and if I do buy another bike I would hope to be in a position where the New one is an addition not a replacement - i think I would really miss it.
John.
