Had my first bike crash yesterday, never want to experience that again!

Fortunately it was a slow one and I am in one peice, bikes a little worse for wear, need some new front forks and some ffront fairing panels and a new headlight, so if anyone has spares of these let me know asap, I want to get the cat fixed up quickly and get back out to get my confidence back.

willing to pay good money for these parts if anyone has them!

Sad to hear that mate. You're ok which is all that matters, the cat can be fixed easier.

was on the new cat only had it since tuesday :(

its hard to work put as it was in slow moving traffic everything in front of me was moving going along at abt 10mph i looked down for a split second looked up and the women in front had stopped and i was in the back of her, so probably more my fault though complete accidental, she was in a merc m class and barely did anything to the car, one panel off the bumper came off but that was it.
but as the traffic was moving freely and she just stopped blame could be either way, I dont really know I have never crashed or anything like this, I just want my bike fixed now

ouchy! Neutral

I can't count the amount of times I've nearly done that clocking a good looking woman, but at least it's only the bike that's a bit dented and not you. Wink

thanks for all the kind words and support guys and girls! I feel lucky as the whole thing could have been a lot worse.
Nick is going to help me put her back together I dont care of the cost I just want her back to how she was before the shunt, also so I can get back in the saddle as I dont want to lose to much confidence!

Though I do now get to go and buy a new helmet, which I have been wanted to do for a while but never had a good enough excuse tongue
though I would have preferred the reason behind the excuse to have hurt a little less!

Thanks again everyone!

Funny that - I've lost count of the number of times I've rear ended a good looking woman Wink

Hat off to Nick for offering to help you out. Still his baby I guess.

Hope it's all sorted soon.

Sorry to hear that mate! not something you want happening, especially on your new bike... unfortunately it will go down as your fault to the insurance as you went into the back of her so its classed as neglect. But not something you should dwell on as you will learn from it!!

Glad your ok and help is at hand for you to get back on the road. Stay safe!! Very Happy

Ouch. I sympathise - I rear-ended a van with my Cat not long after I got it. Similar situation, slow traffic, van suddenly stopped - except in my case I hit the brakes in a panic and locked the front so the bike went down and I slid into the van on my side.

With the bike being almost new at the time, the insurance company didn't write it off, but it cost them well over 2 grand (mostly body panels) - Fowlers of Bristol did a great job on it. After that I decided I needed some extra training!

If you need a new hat, it's worth popping down to George White's outlet centre in Swindon. They have loads of good quality stuff at really low prices - a friend got a Caberg Justissimo there on Saturday for £50, which is about 1/3 of list. I'm not too far from there so could meet up if you want.
