Rear Shock
First topic message reminder :
Does anyone have an original rear shock they no longer need?
Think mine is way overdue for a refurb / replacement. Rather than have the bike laid up at the grease and spanner for a week whilst the refurbishing is done, thought of getting a 'spare' and having that re-engineered and fitted.

Re: Rear Shock
John, you go ahead. I can't get my money back nor am I getting what I expected, I hope it will all OK in the end though.
Had to endure a few more pages of the Mechanics/ Salesman's excuse handbook (that is probably unkind, but I did voice my disappointment). Essentially the rear gets a new spring, nothing internal will be done. There is no issue with the work to be done on the front
I'll be going up on Saturday as a reluctant customer, I do hope I will have a different opinion on the return trip.
There is a strong possibility that yours can be opened up. However I do not know who to believe there as there have been contradictions on this depending on who I spoke to.

Re: Rear Shock
That's really shite Steve, it's amazing how difficult it is to get things done some times. I'll keep an eye out on ebay for you.
