A big hi to all the CAT lovers
Am just getting back in to biking after 8 yrs stranded in the wilderness(messy things divorces)
Having had a "CAT" back in 97/98, and remembering want a brill bike they are, set about the long search for a goodun. Well the search ended on tuesday the 7th.
Picked her up from southampton and rode back to devon with a huge stupid grin from ear to ear.
2000 model, 15200 on the clock all dressed in red.
Just getting to grips with the little bits and pieces that always need doing. Nothing major, just minor fettling to make her feel like mine. Will be doing oil and filter, air filter, fuel filter and sparks just as precaution.
She had been laid up for 2 yrs due to previous owners health. But had been fitted out with new tyres, fork seals and battery, with new mot prior to sale.
The sites brill, have had good look round loads of useful info.
Will be watching out for those cool cats.

Re: A big hi to all the CAT lovers
Hi Taximan ...
....and a big warm welcome. 7 to 8 years is a long time in the wilderness. It is how long I've had my cat!
Queue taxi driver jokes for going the 'long way' about it I guess.
Keep us posted on bike developments...Oh and who's the most famous person you've had in your cab.
Cheers

Nice to be on board.
Thanks for the warm welcome. Been a long time to be in the wilderness I agree, but now I'm back and plan to enjoy.
In answer to Roscoe, I did go the long way round, habit I guess but got there in the end.
And in answer to your question of the most famous in my cab, one Mr Lenny Henry and Jim Davidson.
I will be planning to go through Bridport again so will keep eyes open for a blue cat.
Will keep all posted on progress with the CAT and hope to get to some of the gatherings next year.
Any one out there close enough to go to the paignton bike night, held every wednesday through the summer?
Well will have to go just like cats us taxi drivers go prowling at night.
