Re: We Are Back
Welcome back!
Glad to hear you're all safe and sound.
We've tried to keep the place tidy and respectable whilst you've been away, but........
If you all keep quiet they'll never know!

Re: We Are Back
Good to read you all had a good trip. Pity the bike played up, but fortunately no expensive Euro repair bill.

Re: We Are Back
Glad you arrived home safely & without further bike probs.
Been looking at the piccies, a bit of a sneaky cam going on at the Hautacam, you forgot to mention the rather good sausage sandwich in your report though, served by the multi lingual French bloke.
T&B not signed in yet, hope they got home safely too.

Re: We Are Back
Trust me, I'm glad to get back without an expensive repair bill, which I could hardly afford. Not like Germany 2 years ago when the Radiator decided to put a hole in itself.
Ellie - 2500 miles is a little light on what I was expecting. It was only the problem with the Alternator that stopped us (me) from doing probably another 500 miles or so.
Tyres held up well though, Dunlop Qualifiers, hardly look like they have been used. Squared off a little from the trip home but not bad at all.

Ah, Nothing to do with taking the Wednesday off after the Tuesday night partying / dancing then? :drunken:
Re: We Are Back
Well I would of loved to been with you lot for that trip.
We was ment to have gone to that bridge 3 years ago remember, but think we ran out of time to visit it.
New battery required then tony. I had the same prob with my bike once with going upto Scotland this year. I just keep it on charge now 24/7 to make it last. Will buy a new. 1 next year.
But glad you all enjoyed it and if ya out there again next year, then give us a bell. Hope Frank and Lynn are doing fine aswell.
Rob & Linz.

Re: We Are Back
I'm fairly confident it's not the battery Rob. It's the alternator not charging properly. I'm having a look at it this weekend.
I think I need to clarify Switchblades comment about Tuesday nights partying.
There was a fete (Festival) in the local town of Trie which mean a Night Market in the town square with food being served (I had the biggest steak I think I have ever seen). There was also wine served with the food, in fact there was as much wine as you wanted, all included in the price you paid for the food. Bad news.
There was also a band playing a lot of traditional french music with a huge dance floor on the town square. Now I have been known to like the odd dance here and there and Lynn (Switchblade) was up for it as well so........... well, lets put it this way. Strictly Come Dancing should have had the cameras there. We were good (in my opinion ) and really showed the French how to dance to their own music. I'm sure there was some Tango's and Quicksteps included but really, we made it up as we went along and were quite good (modesty is a strong point). lol.
As for the feeling not too well on the Wednesday.... not me. Although I was late up, I wasn't too bad unlike someone else I could mention (but won't) who had his head in the bucket when we got back and didn't get out of bed until PM the following day.
Great night though.
