Hi!
Hi everybody,
Another novice biker here! Currently doing my test, got my mod 1 13th July, hopefully mod 2 the last week in July, work getting in the way. I've bought myself a 1999 TC, silver / black with the orange lower fairing, picked her up Wednesday night, a friend rode her home for me and gave some great feedback. Can't wait to get out and try her out for myself.
I expect i'll be bothering you all with some daft questions in the near future!

Re: Hi!
Congratulations on purchasing the 'cat.
Same colour as mine was, I've moved on since, but I remember picking her up. Got a friend to ride her away, I was newly qualified and afraid of making a complete ass of myself and dropping her on the turn out of the driveway! Like you I got some great feedback and at a suitable spot on the ride home took over. I've never been more exhilarated or scared on a bike. It was fantastic!
Good luck with the test. Don't let work get in the way
Take it easy when you get in the saddle and enjoy - I'm sure you will.

Re: Hi!
Hiya Dan,
You've done what I did mate, buy the Cat then pass the test ! Its hard having it there tempting you but its great motivation to pass. Good luck mate, if you havent already its worth checking YouTube for the MOD 1, theres some great footage on there of Test demo Helmet Cam stuff.
Good luck mate hope it goes well. Great choice of bike by the way ! (but then we are slightly biased I suppose)

Re: Hi!
Good luck in the tests mate.
I'm sure she'll be really clean by the time you get your leg over her proper and really dirty after that
I too bought an orange silver and black cat and got to be pillion and then ride it for myself before immediately buying it from my cousin.
I too can remember the "I've never been more exhilarated or scared on a bike. It was fantastic!" feeling ...... and that was after having ridden a bandit 600 for a year ( oh .... and about three years out after a write off)
Enjoy......just give her plenty of respect.
She'll pootle along quite happily but can also p155 over bigger 'so-called' better bikes on a race-track.
Make sure you keep to the lower end of that scale to start with.
Cheers
Rosco

Re: Hi!
Hey guys,
Thanks for all of the welcome messages and advice! Been in Berlin all week with a dodgy laptop so hence the time taken in replying, I did enjoy being at the fan's mile on Wednesday thou!
Got a day out training tomorrow in prep for Tuesday, fingers crossed I'll be booking my mod 2 for the end of July as I'm back in Germany the following week.
I'll let you know how I get on and hopefully I'll be riding the old girl (respectfully) by the end of July !!
Have a good weekend!
Dan
