Head and heart !! Heart has no hesitation, it ticks all the boxes for me. Head reminds me I work playing in the band on board the Titanic and the water is up to my chest. I'm in denial the company is sinking fast, so I shouldn't be spending money. On the other hand if a company is (daft enough) to employ me, I may need to commute, so good transport will be essential (think the heart is trying to argue a case here).

Aren't they just. I spotted them in 1997 and have had (motorbike) desires to have one ever since. I know it's just an object, but I have become very attached to mine, and even the thought of replacing with a similar bike just doesn't seem right. A bit like the proverbial trading 'er indoors for a younger model (do I need help? :o )
I'm not sure you can do 60 000+ km's in 3 years and not have a healthy respect for a bike.

You're not getting off that easily Have found some other fine examples in Scotland and South Yorkshire - not as late a model though, but all less than 5 000 miles and black and ..

This one is about 25 miles from me and not far from where I go for my 'short' rideout, me thinks a detour is in order - provided I can find the place with out SatNav which has taken ill and is in Garmin hospital (another expense!)

So what's the latest ? Did you buy it ?

I'm still arguing with myself over it. Was going to go and have a look at it yesterday but the IAM ride I did in the morning finished 3 hours later than I expected, so was saved from getting that close to the bike - as the shop would have been closed by the time I got there ( an hour or so ride away).

Quite happy for it stay in the shop a while longer and depreciate in value :o I suppose I ought to call them and see if it is still available

Blimey....2600 miles? Could it be there's someone out there racking up even fewer miles than I have of late?

Not gutted, but you're right it was sold over the weekend. Now I can get on with my life without worrying if I should have.
A full house valet and a bit here and there, mine is as good as that one (just a lot more experienced!)

Thanks for all the encouragement guys and gals, I wasn't actually that serious about getting the bike when I posted the pics - but it did get me thinking though.
