Sad news

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to say that I had a phone call this afternoon to inform me that Matt Evans who did the tea stop for us on BC1 had passed away this morning.

It would appear that he was riding the Isle of Man track on his blade when he left the circuit early this morning where he had gone to spectate with a friend.

That is such terribly sad news.

I can remember seeing that picture and everyone raving that Matt had gone out of his way and made a great cuppa for the Bishops Castle attendees.

Thoughts are with family and friends.

Ride safe everyone.

Sorry to hear the bad news, never met or knew but as with Rosco those on here who had had lots of good things to say.

I only met him once, on BC1 where I took that picture of him. He seemed a really decent guy. RIP Matt, my thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

I only met Matty the once, on BC1, and he was a cracking bloke, even let me have extra biscuits.

I can't believe this has happened and can't imagine what his family must be going through. My thoughts are with them.

That tea stop was very unique & I dont think anyone could have done it better, a one off & a tribute to the guy

That's terrible news. I have a couple of friends over there now and they told me about it but shocked it's someone so close to here. Condoloncies to the family.

That is really sad news , I never had the pleasure meeting him but I remember that picture of him very well ,when it was first posted .Love to his family and friends.

Always sorry to hear this type of news, and sad that I won't now have the chance to meet someone who sounded a top bloke. Condolences to all affected.

Thanks for posting Nick & Ellie.

Never had the privilege of meeting Mat.
He sounded like a top guy who really lived life to the full.
Putting everything into life and getting so much out of it too.

It is always sad to hear news of biker injuries and deaths and it really hits home when it is a friend.

Thinking of you and the others on here who knew Mat. It is a sad loss of a good friend.

Be careful out there everyone and live life to the full.
