Just curious about peoples desires (of the 2 wheeled variety) ??

I will say now, we obviously all love our thundercat and i've got to say even when i look at new bike don't think i'll sell my little Yazmeen, gonna keep her for little one to inherit (it's how all classics start) but that said we all i'm sure aspire to our 'Dream' bike! fnarfnar

I've long had a somewhat unhealthy desire towards Ducati's and after recently seeing up close a Desmosedici (and having dealership 5 minutes from house) it has nothing but increase, i know i would probably do myself a mischief on it as well so have slightly more realistic ambitions towards one day buying an 1198 not aided by the fact chap in Coventry rides past my shop most days in the summer (thoughts rugby tackle, theft spring whistle to mind however i just normally stand staring as soon as i here her coming 👅 ), altho will probably have long gone buy time i find buyer for all non vital organs needed to raise cash for bike, insuranc and running cost's, just thought i'd throw the question out of what every one else would love in their garage???????

Well..... as we're talking about bikes..... naughty ..... I have to admit to rather lusting after an Aprilia RSV R Factory or possibly a Benelli Tre 1130 ( for a something a little bit different from the run of the mill). However realistically (sigh!), I think I may at some point in the future (when I win the lottery or find a millionaire to marry) splash out on a Black/Gold shiny R1 Twisted Evil

I won't.... however, be selling my 'Cat and 'Ace.... I'll just have to build a bigger garage.....which, of course, will leave room for a multitude of possibilities for anything in the garage naughty

Well, me just getting into the 2 wheels again I'm currently ok with the cat but i have started looking at the aces. especially since merv put that post on about him and the R1. wall

While stuck in Dallas I did visit a Yam dealer and the new R1s & 6s where very nice. But the pillion looked extremely uncomforable. ponder

So I'd have a black and gold one. Snap eh Fi! great

For me it would have to be the MV Agusta. Perhaps one of the limited editions like the Senna for instance.

The Chairman of the company I work for has an MV Agusta in his office, less than 10 ft away from me. I keep telling him it's a sin to just let it sit there, being admired. I've offered to take it over to the TT for him but he won't entertain it.

I've also offered to drape myself over it, wearing only my Mankini or Speedos, at a local bike show. Can't understand his reluctance. pmsl

Toni - Mankini or speedo's.

That's a mental picture I could be doing without.

If he is giving out free shots though I've got a mankini in a drawer somewhere.

Cheers

PMSL @ Tony ....... i've had a sh!t day (snotty briefs) and that really made me smile pmsl

At this point i would like to point out that that was 'briefs' in the legal sense not as in the underwear variety

I'm afraid i'm boring - i love my bike and i know my limitations tho i do have a hankering for an R6 still but it'd be wasted on me and my other slight hankerings of a Thruxton (or Gladius) are not quite as exciting so i'm afraid i'd have to go to the dark side and spend my money on my one REAL long time fantasy of a little Triumph Spitfire - preferably red and getting the Barnet done up!

My ex had a RSV R Factory Mille, which I loved riding, but he had soooo much trouble with the twin, it really wasnt worth the hassle and eventually had to swap it for an R1.

We've been looking at new bikes lately, R6, GXR (Limited edition in white is loverly) and CBR and cant decide so will probably stick to the 'cats for a bit and maybe upgrade the puddle jumper Twisted Evil

without wanting to jinx it, there's a gorgeous red 955i ST (1999 model) in the "trade sales" bit of a local triumph dealer. except mine had factory triumph panniers, it's identical to my first "big" bike.

it's slightly high mileage (40k), slightly tatty in the odd place but nothing unexpected for an eleven-year-old tourer, but with kappa panniers and a givi monolock plate, and a sticker price of £2k. he says he'll give me a grand for the thundercat, so... hmm... my only concern is that it's sold as seen but with a full MOT and the tyres look a bit marginal. he says that if they pass an MOT they stay on, if they fail they'll be changed, so i think that could be the decider.

writing this has actually made my decision for me - sod the money, you only live once and i DO miss my old triumph. off to see him for a proper chat tomorrow morning!
