Back to biking.. on a ‘Cat!

Evening/ morning all. Just thought I’d stick my head around the door to say hi.
After 12 years away from 2 wheels, I decided that sitting at the riverbank didn’t quite have the stimulation I needed....(sometimes peace and quiet is good tho)
I had a couple of bikes, my last being a VFR800, then circumstances changed (don’t they just!) and had to get rid of the bike...
But, to be honest, this year has been absolutely terrible. We’ve lost friends and family and I’ve also lost several customers (one of which was a biker). So I thought, bugger it, enjoy it while you can..
So, I’ve gone and treated myself to the bike of my dreams in the colours I wanted, all be it 20 years late (although tax and insurance is cheaper

) Bought the bike Thursday (test ride in torrential rain!) after buying all new riding gear last week. Went out for a blast yesterday (Sunday) and , yep, it started to rain! Have to say, I wasn’t disappointed at all, bloody loved it!! Great bike, great riding position although I’m starting to ache in places I’d forgotten about

Soo looking forward to some great ride outs and getting back into the groove (big Birthday next year). So if anyone around the Shropshire area or there abouts has a ride out please give me a shout. Miss a ride and a bacon butty on a Sunday morning...I might even get the teas in!
Ps, great forum, I have to confess I did a little research on here before buying, but signed up now

Thanks Rosco, forum helped me with closure that I’d had all these years.. and all the other stuff is my cup o tea too. Looking forward to meeting some of you out and about.. and maybe a bit of piss taking too

Hi there, Shropshire born & bred (40 years) but now living in Derbyshire, Bike4Life will be one of the rideouts you won’t want to miss, I did it last year (albeit on a trike) & it was great, hoping to do it again next year (maybe on my 1989 Exup)

Robertcains, around the Shrewsbury area. Been to watch bike for life a couple of times and will definitely go if I’m about. Radar, would love to come over to WOW, but big Birthday around that time so not sure if I’m going to be about.. maybe some other ride out?

If non of our rides out fit dates you have free, how about sorting a route where you are and inviting peeps along with you question-excamation
