Derbyshire Rideout AKA The Devils Arse - names please

Having just been to Castleton, we realised what an awesome place it would be for a rideout.

The roads around (if you find the right ones) are superb and of course the views stunning.

There are 6 pubs, all with accommodation, great beer and food.

There are B&B's, YHA, and camping nearby.

It's very much like Bishops Castle.

Just a feeler really, maybe mid September or could wait till next year? I think it's less heavily policed in this area and a great place for a pub crawl.

Give me your thoughts peeps, I've never lead a rideout before so please be gentle with me.

Its my usual playground, thats where I was heading before I came off. Some good roads ill be up for that ellie.

I'll volunteer for 2ⁱ/_c TEC detail . Castleton is a smashing wee village/town . . . and Hope is only 2 miles (approx.) away as an accom overspill.
Speaking of accommodation, the only difficulty I'd predict is vying for bed-spaces with walkers, ramblers and orienteers.

Sounds good to me I worked over that way for a few years was always in the van so I do fancy sorting those roads out properly.

I'm in, love it over there, great roads and pretty local for me as well.

Never ridden there but driven near those areas so I'm up for it!

We will be up for that. That was our play area a few years ago.

So that's a plus 2 either this or next year, whenever you decide it's feasible.

Pick a date when I'm (if I ever make it back to blighty) home and I'll be there!! Only racked up 500 miles this year so far :(

I'd love to but I've got something on every weekend this September.

With a year notice I should hopefully make 2015 though.

Be nice if there can be at least two weeks between big group rideouts to make it easier for folks to attend

I think we operate a first come first serve on rideout dates so get in early if you want your pick of the dates

Most places are £65 a night per room and YHA is abut £29 but there are lots of different prices ranges.

Dont forget we moved tol from its usual 2nd weekend in sep for this year we would have liked to put it back to its usual slot next year ????

I could be up for this, so far can't think of anything that clashes with September - unless I forgot to put something in the calendar.

Cheep accommadation would have to be the order of the day or i'll ride up and back in the same day.

I'd be up for this, could camp up with Alex which will save some money, so could make it this year! As long as it's not around the 21st as it's the partners b-day (some proper begging to be done otherwise).
