Ride up to the borders
First topic message reminder :
With only a few weeks before the 1st official meet of 2014, I thought I'd start a post for all the peeps traveling "t'up north".
Is there any preferences on a meeting place and times for a grand Friday ride?
Please post suggestions / time limitations etc so that we can ride up in a group or groups and make it a little more pleasant for all who are going.
Cheers Rich.
BTW, I'm easy I'll tag on to anybody who is traveling up. Based in Hull so the Scotch Corner meet has been done before as has Kirkby Stephen off the A66.

Re: Ride up to the borders
Think we can't get into the digs until around 5pm anyway so there's no rush. Where are you collecting Mrs Krusty and prob me Ross and Furballs can hook up with you for the run down to yarrowford.
I would offer to collect and deliver Mrs Krusty but have no rear seat!! Rosco has Euan on the back but Furballs might have space??

Re: Ride up to the borders
Got Euan and Mally coming to mine for lunch.
Sounds like I'm inviting Furball & DBD too.
Meeting at mine from 12 onwards and leaving about 2:30pm
Getting to Broadmeadows from 4:30 onwards please (no earlier)
Might Karina be able to get a train from Glasgow.
They are every hour to Shotts (if she can get bike space from here) or possibly to somewhere enroute for you Paul??
Cheers

Re: Ride up to the borders
Think you've got the wrong end of the stick again Tom, this thread is for the people travelling from England TO Scotland on Friday 11th for Wee Mac.
Ross will have more info about the actual Wee Mac rideouts on Saturday and Sunday.

Re: Ride up to the borders
OK if K goes straight to Shotts from Glasgow and picks up a lift with someone from there (Davie?).
Trains to Galashiels aren't very frequent so Edinburgh probably second on the list if Shotts not a goer.

Re: Ride up to the borders
Hi Paul
Just off the blower to Davie.
He is insured and happy to take Karina.
How much luggage are we talking??
If needs be she can leave stuff at the house and you can pick it up on your way home.
Can Karina get here sometime before 1pm?
If so she can have some lunch here too.
If Karina gets in touch enroute I can pick her up at the train station.
Cheers
