Re: ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL
I was down that way myself visiting my brother in Southampton (Holbury).
The weather at the festival looked foul, and the flooding didn't help much either by the sound of it.
On Friday I went to Thruxton and did a few laps in a Porsche, then some more in an Audi R8, then a few in a Formula Renault.
This might sound sacriligious, but in the right setting, four wheels are far more fun than two.

I had a huge amount of fun blasting around the Isle of Wight in 1985 or 6 on my original YPVS....those were the days

Re: ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL
I've only been there once.
Unfortunately the only thing I saw in daylight was the ferry carpark.
(I was doing a nightshift install at a clients site )

Re: ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL
How is Fred's recovery?
I've been wondering if I'm not biting off more than I can chew with my ride around Ireland, but mine is no where near as serious as Fred's - just yanked mine off the mount points. Ah well if my arm falls off, I'll have to ask AXA to sort me out
How on earth do you manage to be in the club when all hell is breaking loose outside?!!

Re: ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL
freds shoulder is like yours a long way off
it will never be right but hopefully better than it was
as for long haul bike ride,s there out
i would think a max of a hour maybe 90 mins then she needs a rest
so no big mac,s unless the bike,s trailered up there
we could do a tel but that defeats the point
except for the after wards drinking
i think any thing bigger than 150 /200 miles ride out is the limit at best
also my hand wrist is still not as i hope it would be by now
since that little fall i had way back in feb
funny how little things fck you up more than a big 1,s
