New Suzuki :D
Well as some of you may know the cat got stolen :( well here's it's replacement. Although got the cat back today, more of a upgrade. My new Suzuki gsx-r 600 k5 isn't she beutifull. Now as well don't all think that I'm going to forget the thundercat cus it's still a hell of a bike.

Re: New Suzuki :D
Cheers folks
And not sure to be honest. Looked a mess when I picked it up coverd in crud and brick dust, got it home washed it and now looks preety shiny. Need to get a new ignition barrel and the number plate. Then wait till June to get me years no claims tax and mot it and probs sell it I think. Can only ride one at a time. And if I'm going for a ride will proberbly pick the Suzuki every time. So unfair to leave it sittin there.Although the cat is a lot more comfortable.

Re: New Suzuki :D
glad to hear the cat is all ok.
I understand that the suzuki K5 range were some of the best range of gixxers they made so should have a right peach there, let us know how it compares

Re: New Suzuki :D
That wee bike looks absolutely beautiful
If all you ever do is scratch and fart about then there's no doubt it's a better bike than the cat. But if you tour, take a pillion around, commute and need good fuel econ then you still struggle to find a better all-rounder than the cat
Besto of all the decision is entirely yours

Re: New Suzuki :D
Cheers guys. And how it compares. Well the Suzuki faster and handles better. But in the real world, same as map man ses for a Sunday afternoon ride the Suzuki's the one that's not to say that ya can't go any distance but getting off and walking at the other end might be difficult. Having said that rode it round town today and can potter about at 30 easily.Midrange grunt is awsome. It's injection though not carbs so there's no delay bang the throttle open at any revs any gear and it shifts. Very smooth might be a bit firm, but again it's a sports bike. it's about a inch taller so might not suit shorter people I'm on tippy toes on it. Again same as map man says depends what you need a bike for. For me it's a toy not a daily commuter or anything. just for fun. so it suits me.

Re: New Suzuki :D
Beautiful bike there, a real gem and another one I considered when looking for my cat. Was told this wasn't an ideal 1st bike though which sort of put me off.
Looks lovely though
