Hello everyone
Hello everyone,
Just thought i would say a quick hello instead of just hiding in the wings and hoovering up the vast quantity of cat knowledge you find once you register!
Haven't passed my bike test yet (Module 1 booked for the 28th of this month ) and i have been giving serious thought to the thundercat as my first bike.
Should be going to look at an S reg one today/early next week. I'll let you know how it goes!
~Ben

Re: Hello everyone
Welcome Ben and hello,
Good luck with mod 1 and then 2
The Cat is an excellent choice as a first bike ~ but then we're a bit bias .
Good hunting for your bike and if you get one stick a pic or two up in the "nice bike" section
Cheers

Hi Ben,
Welcome to the site. Glad to hear you've been checking us out before sticking your head above the parapet - always a good move on here!
Right then. Here's your homework for the next few months:
Something to aim for?

Re: Hello everyone
Hi Ben welcome to the forum, good luck with your mod 1 & 2. I only passed mine in November and bought the cat about a month before, it was agony having it sat in the garage but not able to ride it but a good motivator to get passed.
And a cat is a fantastic first bike, you could call me biased but I did a lot of research, both on here but also speaking to biker friends and my instructors, the cat is very fast but also very forgiving, it'll allow you to learn at your own pace and be ready to test you when you think you've learned something new.
I couldn't be happier and can't see myself on anything else for the foreseeable future.

Re: Hello everyone
Thanks very much again, yeah i'm scared of buying one too early and have it sat there begging to be ridden!
If my cat-hunt is successful and I have my licence by May, i'd love to come along to the ride-out down in Bishops Castle, it's only 20 miles away! (and with some cracking road in between) so i am told...

Re: Hello everyone
Thanks again all for the warm welcome.
Update on the bike situation, went to have a look at a work colleagues 1999 Cat... and bought it
Needs a little TLC as its been stored for 3 years or so, plenty of time for that before my mod2 though!
I'll get some pictures in the "Nice Bike" Section once its clean and had its service.

Re: Hello everyone
Congratulations.
Item 3 done already. And well before the deadline!
Keep up the good work and let us know how you get on with the rest of the homework. Ask away if you have any questions on the bike.

Re: Hello everyone
Hi mate,
As everyone has said before, great choice of Bike. I've ridden mainly streetfighters and Hardtail chops over the past 30 or so years and I can honestly say that this is probably the best all rounder I have ever owned.
You're only down the road from me (I'm in Market Drayton) so if you need any help etc, or someone to go for a ride with once you pass (notice the confidence there ) just give me a shout.

Homework done nicely! Module 1 passed this morning.
Should have a date for my Module 2 by the end of the week, then the cat will be going in for its MOT ready to go back on the road!
