Post  supraloopy Thu Oct 20 2011, 22:04

First topic message reminder :

Hi I'm not sure if this is the place to do this but here goes. I bought my cat about a week ago and have enjoyed getting to grips with it pale
I'm going to hang on until the weather gets too bad to ride with confidence and then start the job of bringing the bike back to tip top condition :whoop:
I'll put some pics up once I have worked out how to get them off my phone confused
So keep checking and please comment if you think I'm going wrong anywhere. clink

suprise HID light fitted.

Post  supraloopy Fri Dec 16 2011, 21:07

Very nice bit of kit (thanks Josh hatton) Very bright with pass feature built in. easy to fit, the only problem I can see is the bulb unit moves quite easy in the holder (not sure how it will cope with vibration but will suss this out and post a solution).

Not sure the photos do it justice as these units are very bright.. I can't road test them as I'm still waiting for discs etc... but on first impression very good great

You don't have to take anything other than the air duct cover, seat and rear side panel, but I had it all off anyway.
There is a lot of chunky things like the ballast and the converter but I hope it all fits somewhere as you have to keep it all up the front as the wires are not that long once you have connected to the battery. It is a very nice bit of kit for the money though I would recommend it.
Very Happy

It is very easy. Connect to battery, run the wire along the original loom using cable ties, connect all the wires (they only go one way together) then using spade terminals plug into original light connector job done. Wink Or wait until summer, meet up and I'll do it for you ;0)

Just thought I'd say hello and a happy new year.. I'm still waiting on the discs I ordered so have not really done much.
I have painted the side covers of the engine and built up some bits but nothing worth taking pics of, roll on summer and the day I get my discs Mad

Post  supraloopy Wed Feb 01 2012, 21:29

Well I may be shouting too soon but... My discs should be here tomorrow or friday Thumb But I'm not holding my breath.
If this is the case then I will be able to finish the bike and test ride my efforts ready for the summer season :whoop:
I do apologise for the loads of posts/pics and then nothing but it has all been down to G&B motorcylce spares and the NEC show.
Lets hope the discs arrive and I can resume normal mass posting and pictures..lol salute

Mate that is stonkin.

I have now moved in to a new house with a garage, just need to sort the garage out and I can start stripping mine.

Mine however will be nowehre near as good as yours and will definitely take MUCH longer but will be giving this thread several re-reads to give me a kick up the 'harris when I'm losing motivation

This is officially my favorite thread
