First topic message reminder :

Hi All

Can you please show your interest in Big Mac here please?

We are currently looking in to accommodation and may try and book a hostel for our stay in Portree.

It would be useful to gauge interest in the trip and what you would like to do about accommodation.

Hostel is most likely to be the cheapest. As you may know we stayed in a hostel last year in Fort William and it was fine (and cheap)

Yes we'll be doing the thurs trip up North we shall do Pete. Pitstop as Ross's house for the night.

Whether we just pick a route just to get there the quickest or take in a few minor roads full of bends seems fine to me.

The quickest route up to Skye is from here is 468 miles so will be having a new rubber band stuck on the rear to make sure the bike lasts the mileage. Long live Corsa 3's!!! But i'm sure Ross will have other ways of getting up there, not via the quickest way ofcourse......

thats fine with me rob steve & Pam are coming up from surry & can stophere for a rest then pick you 2 up on the way north but will leave the planning till near to the date
ive got a rider sat nav so if we wander off track but then again steve been up there before just nice to travel in a group just in case

We are still up there but if the weather is gunna be a wash out (totally naff weather) , then we'll still be up but in the warmth and dryness in a tin can car, to make up the numbers.

Yes we are praying for some nicer weather aswell.

Not even been on the bike for over 3 weeks as the weather has been naff every time i've had a chance of a ride out.

R1 riders, well, we hate the rain. Plus it gets the bike dirty and our arse's twinge at every slip of the back wheel, even 2 up!!!

Wont be bringing the boil in the bags though (water proofs). Linz wont be able to see with a paracute infront of her.

Dont worry Ross about forgetting about Linz on your list. She is small, i know......
