Wee Mac Try Out
If anyone fancies trying out the route (or part thereof) with me then let me know.
I'll be heading to Livingston (only about 25 mins away from me) on Monday morning.
Rough route will be Livingston, North Berwick, Coldstream, Hawick, Selkirk, Peebles, Carluke, Bonkle, Forth and back to Livingston (with some slight detours in between)
If anyone fancies joining me then please post up / PM me and we can arrange to meet up.
Cheers

That card game is called 4r5eh0l3 Pete. Or should I say El Presidente.
Anyhoos - the test run was brill. I didn't manage my early morning start and ended up getting to and then leaving the digs after 1pm. But accommodation is sorted and so is dinner on the Saturday night. Bit saddle sore though (first run of the year - except the 10 miles MOT trip) so I'll be packing the vaseline
First of all I'll apologise for the first 30 miles of motorway, dual carraigeway ... I promise the rest of the ride-out will make up for it.
Photo stop at near the beach overlooking Bass Rock / Tantallon Castle
Decisions, decisions ... Coffee stop after 52 miles at Tyninghame HERE Was recommended by a Kiwi biker (in his car with the weans) who took my picture on the beach looking out to Bass Rock.
OR
after 84 miles at Duns HERE - No not the Whip & Saddle - Your mind is in the gutter - there are other coffee shops around this square.
Fuel after about 100 miles in Coldstream
Couple of quick photo stops in Kelso....No Tes you're not bored!
Lunch is at the Glen Cafe (HERE ..... Spin it round to see the view!
and the menu is HERE and a typical specials board is something like THIS
Possibly a quick photostop at Neidpath castle (by Peebles).
(Fuel for those that need it at Newmains) (we'll have done nearly another 100 miles)
Onwards to visit Kev at Bonkle.
Maybe cadge a cup of tea here.
Then wind our way back to the digs.
Dinner is booked from approx 7.30-8pm (No Rob we don't have to finish it all in 30 mins but feel free to give it a try)
Pub is open til late and built in night club til about 3am (oh my head is hurting already)
Cheers
Rosco
p.s. The main route is something like ............ THIS
A, K is the digs (The Da Vinci Hotel)
C is the first photo stop.
D or E is the morning coffee stop.
G is approx where we will get fuel (after approx 100 miles)
H is lunch at the Glen Cafe
J is Murdostoun Castle, Bonkle
K is back to the digs.
