cool Sun Dance

Post  ellie Wed Feb 23 2011, 16:41

I have a new tyre and new clutch plates being fitted this weekend by a lovely little fella I happen to live with, so I thought I'd post Instructions on how to perform a Sun Dance so I can then go out and play when its ready. If you'll all oblige please. green smile (Piercing the chest is optional apparently BTW)

"Before beginning to dance the Sun Dance during the ceremony the candidate must make an acceptable offering to the Sun and have a wound that will cause his blood to flow while he dances.

Then he must find at least 5 sunflower heads and wear them on a big floppy hat. Go to a very dry and sandy place with little water spots like a desert or Savannah. Wear red and yellow, and eat chilli peppers.

Put on a lot of clothes and furry boots then start dancing sun-wise around in a spiral.

Chant "Shy in Shy Anne, Shy in Shy Anne, yell low yell low, he eat, he eats, the roast the roast, that smoking joint. Byrne Burns rob Bert Burns, Fie ire or smoking pot hash the embers".

The one who dances the Sun Dance must posess the four great virtues, which are:--

1. Bravery.
2. Generosity.
3. Fortitude.
4. Integrity.

If you feel your up to the job, please feel free to have a go. I really need some good weather.

Thanks Ellie sunny

Apart from chilli peppers, I think I'd rather just stick on the wetgear and continue moaning. Some decent weather is most welcome - if that's what is needed, I can see why it's so miserable Very Happy

Sorry Ellie - I would try however not too many dry and sandy places near here! Plenty of wet with lots and lots of water and I think I know a Susanah who likes pudding - any good?

Is that the HID system Steve ?

If so you are possibly the first I've evere heard of to give it a negative report. Is it really not good in your case ?

Yip, the HID. Brilliant light, but think the adjustment is all wrong. Took advantage of a mild dry evening and was hoping for a few hours ride. Started off very well, was impressed in urban traffic with street lights, then got out into the 'dark' area dual lane hill 50 mph, lovely by day, as soon as I passed the last car it all went horribly wrong, switch to high beam and it shifts up about a meter ( I think more like a foot), couldn't see a thing - near panic set in pull over to let a 4x4 type pass me I was doing 40mph.If I was alone it would have been more like 25.
Had to endure about 5 mins before I could turn back - nearly bailed and got onto the M25. More traffic on the return leg and followed a car which was doing well over 70 - so not a wasted trip ;-)

But home within 45 mins :(
