Hi everyone
Well the admin email scared me into posting!
My name's Dave from Mansfield, Notts and at the grand old age of 48 I've just bought a 96 Thundercat as my first proper bike.
I've been getting to work on a 125 Vespa for the last 4 years and took my test at the end of October before the new test came in.
I'm really pleased with the Yamaha so far apart from it's fell on me twice - no damage to either party luckily!
Anyway, thought I'd say hello. I can go back to lurking now until I know what the hell i'm talking about ;-)

Re: Hi everyone
Dave,
Welcome welcome. Please don't let the admin mail concern you. It was set up in the site parameters if less than 1 post or 90 days pass at a certain point send a reminder to say hello.
So, Hello m8y
You'll find everyone on here friendly and a veritable mine of info on the cat.
You join us at the quiet time of year, however during the summer season we have some very worthwhile ride outs you should look out for and get to if you can.
We've only just started up here, having come from MSN which is closing early next year. We're atttempting to pull all the posted info from there over to here.
Please have a good look around the site and join in. It's not all just about bikes, there are plenty of topics to choose from, or why not start one yourself.
Mansfield eh ? Your's isn't a Red/White and Black cat is it ??? I've offen seen one of that colour going up and down the 38. Never had the chance to talk to the rider though.
Anyway, again welcome, hope to see you out there sometime.
Cheers

Hi Dave and Welcome, glad you said hello - maybe a ride-out might interest you when they get going again next year.
Don't worry, not knowing anything hasn't stopped me wrote:

Re: Hi everyone
Hi all, Thanks for the welcome
I'm looking forward to a decent ride out but the weather's been awful since I bought it.
I've only really been to work - Sutton and back so far which is about 10 miles round trip and that's cold enough. (I invested in some hot grips).
My bike is a yellow and silver one btw.
Cheers
